MR. PELICAN

MR. PELICAN  SOLD
7 X 5 OIL ON PANEL
This is the first pelican I have painted. I had to look hard to find some interesting colors in this bird...I added a few to zip it up a bit. There must have been a hundred pelicans out by the Fairhope, Alabama pier diving for tasty morsels.
Tomorrow from 5 to 6:30, The Foley Performing Arts Center is having an opening for its new co-op gallery and Friday night, the Fairhope Artist Gallery (6 -8) is having a 'meet the artist' reception for Art Walk. Stop by and see me if you are in the area.
I have posted my workshop schedule on the side bar of this blog for all of you that were asking about classes.
If you have questions, comments, or would like to purchase this painting, email me eliblaylock@yahoo.com
I always love hearing from you.
PayPal invoicing is available and it is safe and easy. If you see a painting and wish it were a larger size contact me about commissioning a larger painting. Although, I do not do duplicates, I can do something very similar. To see more of my original oil paintings browse through the over 300 paintings in the older post on my

Well you did a great job capturing his "true colors." Lovely bird!

Good luck with the gallery opening. I love Fairhope. What a great artsy town. I want to do the Fairhope show in the Spring. Never applied before.
Your last three paintings are lovely. The cherries, the daisy and the Pelican. Honestly pelicans are not very handsome. You made him or her look way better.
