ORIGINAL OIL OF MR BLUE JAY

MR CRAZY JAY
5  x 7 OIL ON PANEL
This bird is confused. He thinks he is a woodpecker. That's what I thought when I heard him pecking on the bird feeder. Something about the light made it appear that his belly was yellow. Reflected I guess, as I could not find a yellow-bellied blue jay anywhere in my bird books.

SELF PORTRAIT WITH RED GLASSES

14 X 11 OIL ON CANVAS
This self portrait is one I did for Carol Marine's Daily Paintworks Challenge.  As usual it was a bad hair day so I put on a hat. (also hoping to detract from the face). I do like the sketchy looseness.  My husband says I look a little solemn and I told him to try smiling at yourself in the mirror for an hour.

PAINTED FUNNY FISH TOWEL RACK

I looked all over for a colorful fish towel rack to put on the pool deck, but could not find one, so I had Ed cut me out a 4 foot fish with perpendicular fins projecting and then painted it.  Now everyone wants one but FORGET IT!!!!  It took way to much time.  I painted it with acrylics and then coated it with marine varnish.
