BALLERINA OIL PAINTING

Little Ballerina
24" x 36" oil on canvas
This is what I have been working on the last couple of days. I decided to do a larger version of the Little Dancer that I did a while back I took this photo inside the studio as the painting is still wet and it is windy outside. The colors are a little richer than they appear here.
I am thinking about getting fine art reproductions done of this. What do you think? If you are interested a print of this painting email me at eliblaylock@yahoo.com
I am probably not going to get to paint much this week as I have to do some real work (designing a brochure). I have lots of new things to paint when I finish this other task.

AVOCADO OIL PAINTING

Avocado on Blue Dish
5" x 7" oil on board
I am not real happy with the photo of this painting. It has been a gray day here, raining all day and I could not seem to match the painting. The oranges in the background appear much darker than they actually are.  Email me at eliblaylock@yahoo.com for purchasing or info. PayPal invoicing is available.

OCTOBER ZINNIAS

October Zinnias SOLD
5" x 7" oil on canvas panel
Yes I still have Zinnias here in October but they are getting a little sparse. I love painting this little round vase which always looks nice with just a few flowers. Unfortunately I broke one of the shakers while I was photographing them. I bought them at an antique store in Biloxi a few years back. I have used them a lot in paintings and on the table. Oh well....

" I have threatened to not take anything and see how he likes that, no food, nothing to read, no snacks, and no extra clothes, but I don"t think I could survive without all my stuff. Duck Out of Water
8" x 10" oil on canvas board
This is another demo from my last workshop. I was trying to show how to get the form of the object first and then simplify the pattern of the feathers over the basic form of the duck. The yellows and greens are a little more intense than they appear here (on my screen anyway). I haven't signed this one yet and I may do a couple of little things to it.
