OIL PAINTING OF RED DON JUAN ROSE

NOVEMBER DON JUAN ROSE SOLD
6 X 6 OIL ON PANEL
My red Don Juan roses are always beautiful no matter how much I neglect them. That's my kind of plant, since I have hardly any time for gardening anymore. When painting flowers one has to especially simplify the shapes. (squint and look for the big shapes).

Very beautiful. Striking! That's my kind of rose too,. Here in upstate NY the equivalent is the "Knock Out Rose." They don't come in rich reds though...
