SWEET HUMMINGBIRD BY Elizabeth Blaylock

8 X 10 OIL ON CANVAS
These little birds are always fascinating and fun to paint,  Lots of color variation in her light breast.
I have not put up my hummingbird feeder, but I have a bottle bush plant and they seem to like it.

LADY HUMMINGBIRD BY ELIZABETH BLAYLOCK

6 X 6 OIL on PANEL
This little hummingbird was actually perched on a tomato cage on my deck.
I am imagine she is enjoying warmer weather in the tropics now!  We are having some unusually cold weather here in Gulf Shores.  Hopefully back up in the 70s this weekend.

HUMMING A NEW SONG

8 X 10 OIL ON CANVAS  SOLD
Hummingbirds are such fascinating little birds.  This one was in the crepe myrtle tree outside my sunroom window.  Hummingbirds are the tiniest birds on earth.   I always thought they sipped nectar up through that long beak, but I read that they lap up the nectar with their skinny little  tongues.
