7 X 5 OIL ON PANEL
This is a painting done for the Diana Moses Botkin Challenge. The August challenge was to paint a subject using only yellow, black and white. I used pale cadmium yellow, lamp black and titanium white. The beautiful paintings by the other artist are posted below. I love this color combination. Great painting out of this exercise.
You did a wonderful piece, Elizabeth! I'm so impressed at your energy and enthusiasm. Thank you for jumping right in for this month's Challenge.
I appreciate your kind comments. Using just yellow, black and white was indeed a challenge for me.
Beautiful painting! I love the bright complimentary colors in the background.
I don't think this is the plant that I know as oxalis. It looks like one that we call a gloriosa daisy. But it's hard to tell from a painting, and I'm certainly not an expert!
Thanks Virginia, I know you are talking about the painting I posted after the rose, the one with the two yellow flowers dancing in the wind.
You are right! I don't know how I posted to the wrong painting!
