Hello Elizabeth this is my first time to your blog. I really like this piece. Your brushwork is great, I like the warm reflected light on the underside of the gull. It has a lovely painterly feel.
This is painted so beautifully! I love the colors on the bird :)
I agree with Amanda's comments...love your brushwork! I also like how it makes me feel like I am there with this gull feeling the warmth and the serenity of the surf!
Thank all of ya'll so much. This painting was so much fun to do. It is hard to take these beach birds too seriously, therefore I am freed-up (is that a word??) to just play with the colors!
