I have painted these shrimp boats before and I see some potential smaller paintings in sections of this painting.  I used a loaded brush and palette knife to get some rich thick color.

This little painted bunting was visiting Lazy Lake RV Park in Gulf Shores, AL. last winter,

One of our guests, Carolyn, took the excellent photo that I painted this from.

It feels good to be painting again.  I am warming up for the workshop I will be teaching here in Gulf Shores, September 18 and 19.  This class is limited to 15 students, so don't wait to long to sign up.

The beach front condos are half the normal price in September and  it is warm enough to sun and swim.
