This is another little beach scene I did last week. The weather here today has not been quiet that nice. It has poured down all day. All the little spring flowers are going to be so happy as it has rained very little in the last two months. They need a good start as they get very little help from me. I did manage to finish three little paintings today and I am quiet pleased about that. I wanted to get ahead a little, as this weekend is the Fairhope Arts and Crafts Show and I will be in the Fairhope Artist Gallery, demonstrating and helping with sales. This was the first demo I did in the workshop I taught at the Fairhope Artist Gallery in, of course, beautiful Fairhope, Alabama. I had a crew of really great and talented students and we had a lot of fun. I hope I was helpful to them all. After seeing the photo posted, I still see a couple of little things I might have to do. The stems were a little confusing in the photo., and I see to much of a green blob on the stem off the middle tomato. Also the shadows directly under the clear plate do not appear quiet strong enough. I think this photo is just a tad lighter than the original. This was another exercise in using basic shapes emphasizing the angles to give a simple subject strength. I also used some rich grays to pop out the color. I am pretty pleased with the results.

Computers are a wonderful tool but they have got to be one of the most frustrating devices ever invented. I thought about going to computer school but I would be outdated before I got out.
