Natures Majesty 11" x 14" oil on canvas panel SOLD
This is one of the demonstrations I did in my Vicksburg workshop today. I wanted to show them how to mass and simplify the lights and darks in foliage. I have a great bunch of students and they catch on quick. Vicksburg is a beautiful historic southern town and absolutely a wonderful place to visit. You couldn't find more friendly people If you come here be sure to eat at the Main Street Cafe....EXCELLENT.

Good Morning all! The little painting above was another challenge. That darn saucer kept changing shapes on me. My husband Ed gave me a set of Dalton "Old Country Roses" for one of our anniversaries (OOPs, can't remember which one). He likes to tease me about being Mrs. Bucket ('Boo kay') with my Royal Dalton. That's okay, I call him Onslow. I have used them several times in paintings, more than on the table as you are not supposed to put them in the dishwasher!
This little painting is still very wet and I have not signed it yet. If you are interested in purchasing it please email me.
I am getting ready to travel to Vicksburg, Ms., to teach a workshop, so you may not hear from me for a few days. I will try to post some of my demonstrations while I am there.
Seeing sailboats gliding across the water seems to have a very pleasant calming effect. I went out to Pirates Cove in Perdido Bay and remembered how very beautiful it was. Paypal invoicing is available. Email me if you would like to purchase this oil painting.
I was very pleased with this one. I wanted to keep it loose and fresh. I went to a ballet recital and I must have taken 80 photos. The light was terrible but this one shot was worth it. This one is still wet so it can not be shipped for a couple of weeks.
I have been painting since the first grade when teacher made me draw the Santa Claus on the blackboard for Christmas. (Of course that was pre ACLU). I am from Holly Springs, Mississppi originally, a small town in Northeastern Mississippi, where I had my first real art lessons from the local artist. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Southern Mississippi. After college I lived, painted and studied in New Orleans.
Currently I live in beautiful Gulf Shores, Alabama with my husband Ed.
I love painting figures, still lifes, beach scenes, or just about anything else that gives me the opportunity to play with color and shapes.
My goal in painting is to have fun creating a visual feast for you to enjoy, all to the glory of God.
If you see a painting you would like to buy you can purchase the painting directly from me.
